A Fair-Minded Family Court Judge
Not every state allows the public to elect their judges. Nevada affords you the privilege to elect your family court judges. Nevada allows you to choose a judge who is a reflection of your values, provides an impartial viewpoint, and who will apply the law fairly to everyone. Stacy Rocheleau is that type of judge.
Stacy aims to run an efficient court room, apply the law strictly but fairly, to not allow frivolous cases to jam up the system, and to treat each and every person before her like a customer of the court. Each person will have the right to have Stacy listen to their case and to make a fair decision that is best for their family and in line with the laws of Nevada.
Stacy Rocheleau was raised in Henderson, where she graduated from Basic High School in 1987. She studied business administration at Whittier College, in Whittier, California, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. She earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1996.
After passing the Nevada Bar in 2001, Stacy worked for a local law firm handling civil litigation, and family law cases. She started her own firm in 2004. Over the last 16 years, she has built a successful practice where she focuses exclusively on family law cases.
Stacy is rated 10.00/Superb Top Family Law Attorney by AVVO, and for the past three years she was voted the Best Family Law Attorney by the Las Vegas Review Journal readers’ poll. She is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Family Law Section of the State Bar. She currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys. Stacy has sat as a judge in the Family Court Truancy Diversion Program for three years, and she was appointed as a Discovery Commissioner Pro Tem for the Eighth Judicial District Court in 2017. Stacy has also been invited to speak on various family law topics at continuing legal seminars, and on television and radio programs.
Stacy is active in her community, frequently donating her time and efforts to pro bono work and to causes such as Spread the Word Nevada, Project Food Bank, and Operation Care Package. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Rock, her husband of 26 years, and divorce attorney. Shopping with their three teenage children, Jenna, Jordan and Jessica. And hiking with their dog, Jake. The best dog ever.
